A thorough explanation of the primary, secondary, tertiary, and complimentary colors as well as a means to mix these colors at random to see what colors you can make. A basic means to creating a spectrum of colors at your fingertips, all brought to you surprisingly by a man whos colorblind. (Dont worry, my wife checked the colors, they are there!)

Pros and cons of Color Wheel RYB app for iPhone and iPad

Color Wheel RYB app good for

An almost painfully simple app that makes gradeschool color theory easy to remember in an age of so many convoluted color spaces and spectrums. Overall very handy, especially the mixing feature. An interactive color wheel which could display information about the color group which is tapped would be a huge improvement. Thanks!
Im new to color mixing and this app make it super easy. My suggestion for improvements would be to allow increments and decrements while mixing. Could be done by making Primary Color bar taller and by tapping top to increase and bottom to decrease. Love it.
A cool app for those who are new to color combinations. The very basics of color are explained. Fun to play with for about ten minutes.
This is a great way to learn the fundamentals of color. The mixing feature really shows you where all those hues come from. Nice and simple. Play with this instead of some silly videogame and make yourself smarter!
My 3 & 5 year olds are fascinated by mixing colors. They always ask, "What color do you get when you mix..." This app is great because they can visualize the mix instantly without the mess of paint. I also love the counting feature that shows them how much of each color they are using. It is a great teaching tool!
Given that this is the only color mixing app geared towards old-fashioned painting it does a decent job of helping you to eyeball different color combinations. It wont tell you the exact proportions of real paint to use (you only need to use a tiny bit of blue to get a light green, for instance), but it does give you an idea of what to add to get, say, a gray or a brown. I find it useful as-is, but would like color sliders so that I could subtract a color rather than having to clear the mixer and start over. Dont know how difficult it would be to translate RYB dynamics into RGB space, but it would make using the app less cumbersome. Its a simple app and only really does one thing, but it does do that one thing reasonably well.

Some bad moments

Inaccurate primary colours. Names for colours are given but dont align with any other standards. Interaction is limited.
Dont throw away your money! This is a poor excuse for an app. I was left wanting more! This one falls below one star.
Not interactive, the one thing you can do is mix colors. Cant choose which ones to compliment. Scam
This color wheel was useless. The app consist of 4 pictures with color definitions typed over them. There is no interaction whatsoever. I would not suggest purchasing this app.
